AMETHYST PEAKS

What we offer are rough amethyst points / peaks, freshly removed from the mine, without any industrialization.

Each peak has a percentage purity that means from the whole peak maybe a 10-15% will be completely clean without inclusions.

When the facetador takes the peak crude, starts hammering and extracting any part that will not be clean, until catch up to that percentage of stone that is completely translucent without any cracks inside. Then the peak becomes a hammered amethyst.

We can also provide hammered amethysts, which have a much higher value and they are sold per gram and not by kilo.

Finally with the hammered amethyst, when faceting, we obtain the faceted stone. Generally this works is done in Thailand, India, China, because of the low labor costs.
 

PICOS DE AMATISTAS

Lo que ofrecemos son picos brutos, rough amethyst points/peaks, recién retirados de la mina, sin ninguna industrialización.

Cada pico tiene un porcentaje de pureza de un 10-15% para tranasformarl en totalmente limpio, sin inclusiones.

Cuando el facetador toma el pico en bruto, lo va martillando y extrayendo toda la parte que no es limpia del cristal, hasta llegar a ese porcentaje de piedra que es totalmente translucida y no se ven ningún tipo de rajaduras dentro.
Entonces ahí ese pico deja de ser bruto y se transforma en una piedra amatista martillada, hammered amethyst. 

También podemos ofrecer amatistas martilladas, las cuales tienen un valor mucho mas alto y no se venden por kilo sino por gramo.

Por último de esa amatista martillada, al facetar se obtiene la piedra facetada, que generalmente se hace este trabajo en Tailandia, India, China, por los bajos costos de mano de obra.
